In our first week of work on the project, we spent time planning for the weeks to come. The first day of discussion was centered around what our project would be, what we wanted our website to look like, and the various components that we wanted to incorporate into the project. A few ideas that were floated around included redesigning a bicycle using generative design, improving on the toy wind-up car, and creating a more efficient remote control car. The screenshot below shows the cumulative list we created during our first meeting. We also set up the team infrastructure for all the communication needs of our group, including a Slack group with channels for each component of the project, an iMessage group, and a OneDrive group, so that we can edit files together. We've utilized BlackBoard Collaborate to discuss in real time what we each wanted to see happen during the project, and what our expectations were for ourselves and for our group.

In terms of the tangible work that was created from this week, all the group members became more familiar with the fusion software, updated our personal bios on the website, and contributed ideas to our list. For this coming week, our goals include deciding on a project, creating a project timeline, and completing a quad chart for the project. We also want to begin work on the starting stages of our first design iteration as well as beginning to work on our proposal.
Catch you next week!
